Something new is gathering at Marshmallow Moon ✨

Friends,Hello

Happy Fall! 🍂 Or, as I prefer to call it… sweater weather.

How is it already October?! There are lots of things happening at Marshmallow Moon right now — including something BRAND NEW that I’m very excited to finally share.

Introducing… The Gather Room

Marshmallow Moon has officially grown by one room!

I’ve added a second space just across the hall from the Immersive Sound Studio called The Gather Room — a space created for making things, trying things, connecting with others and, well… gathering.

Beginning in November, The Gather Room will become home to a thoughtfully curated collection of creative workshops and experiences. Some I’ll host myself, and others will be collaborations with artists, makers and creative professionals whose work feels like a natural fit for Marshmallow Moon.

Think art and hands-on creative projects, vision boards, drum circles and other experiences designed to bring people together through creativity, curiosity and a little bit of wonder.

Are you an artist, maker or creative professional with a workshop or experience that feels like it belongs at Marshmallow Moon — or do you know someone whose work might be a wonderful fit? I’d love to connect.

The Gather Room will also be available for private gatherings and events — either on its own or paired with a private Sound Bath.

Looking for something a little different for your holiday gathering?

Gather with friends for a social hour followed by an immersive Sound Bath. Plan a private creative workshop. Or let’s work together to create an experience especially for your group.

It doesn’t have to be a Sound Bath.

That’s what I love most about this new space — it gives Marshmallow Moon room for more ideas, more collaboration and more ways to "gather."

Come see it! — Marshmallow Moon Open House

I’ve been saying I’m going to have an Open House since I opened the studio, so I am officially putting it on the calendar and making myself do it. 😂

Thursday, November 5

Come see the Immersive Sound Studio AND the new Gather Room, have a little something to eat and drink, look around, ask questions and get a glimpse of some of what’s ahead at Marshmallow Moon.

More details to come — but save the date!

🌸 October 11: In Full Bloom- Flower Mandala Meditation

Before all of that, there’s another very special gathering coming up this month.

On October 11, Marshmallow Moon and Botanic Flora Apothecary are coming together for In Full Bloom-the first event in our new Fleurish collaboration.

This will be a sensory afternoon exploring flowers through tea, flower essences, creativity, beauty and sound.

We’ll sample botanical teas, explore flower essences, create a living flower mandala together, make individual floral creations to take home, and end our time together with an immersive Sound Bath.

It’s something a little different — and exactly the kind of creative collaboration I’m excited to bring more of to Marshmallow Moon. Two time slots: 2pm and 6pm

🦋 Flight of the Monarch continues…

And if you haven’t experienced Flight of the Monarch Sound Journey, there are still a few opportunities to join the flight before this journey migrates away for the season:

Friday, October 2 — Barrington Studio Friday, October 9 — Crystal Lake Park District, Main Beach Pavilion* Friday, October 16 — Barrington Studio Sunday, October 26 — Barrington Studio Friday, October 30 — Barrington Studio Friday, November 6 — Barrington Studio

*The October 9 event is offered through the Crystal Lake Park District and is not held at the Barrington studio. Loungers are not provided for this event, so please bring your own mat and anything you need to get comfortable*

There is a lot growing around here right now, and I’m excited to see where it all leads.

Thank you for continuing to follow along, show up, try my strange ideas and help Marshmallow Moon become everything it is becoming. ❤️
